Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking to hire an Assistant General Manager to work out of their Scarborough, ME facility. The successful candidate should have the ability to perform ongoing operational analysis to maximize utilization of company resources, operate to maximum efficiencies, manage proper container inventory and asset utilization along with establishing and maintaining a high level of professionalism in the area of facility management and compliance.
Responsibilities include municipal contract management, customer relationships, manager supervision and training, oversee driver scheduling for multiple routes and enforcing company safety regulations. The ability to review and measure daily productivity to increase efficiencies is required. A strong commitment to workplace safety, OSHA and DOT regulations is critical. Good verbal and written communication and computer skills are necessary. Qualified applicants must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Requirements, possess a clean driving record, and hold a valid CDL license. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Logistics along with five years of experience is preferred.
