What Goes Into A Landfill?

A modern landfill is a very complicated place. Federal, state, and local laws, enacted to protect us, don’t let us just dig a hole in the ground and bury our trash. In many places, you can’t burn trash anymore either. So, to be able to dispose of our trash safely and to protect our environment, a modern landfill must meet very strict guidelines.
