Landfill Gas-to-Energy

Casella is harvesting methane gas as an energy resource from our landfills. Instead of allowing landfill gas to escape into the air, we capture this gas using a series of engineered wells and vacuum systems. Once extracted, the gas is cleaned and directed to a power generation plant. The methane gas is used to power generators that produce clean electricity.
