Algefiber

Algefiber® is derived from red seaweed. The carrageenan found in this sea vegetable is an ingredient used in food, health, and personal care products. Algefiber® is the by-product of extracting carrageenan and contains organic matter and perlite, and has a physical consistency similar to store bought brown sugar. It is used to increase soil pH, as well as provide calcium, magnesium and organic matter. Additionally, the plant hormones naturally present in seaweed have been shown to help increase plant root development and promote crop growth.

Benefits:

It helps increase the yields on grass fields and corn ground.

Take advantage of the natural plant hormones in Algefiber® by blending one part Algefiber® info five parts compost.

  • Topsoil Production

Mix one part Algefiber® into five parts topsoil.

WHERE TO USE: Algefiber® serves as a valuable ingredient in topsoil production. Algefiber® balances pH, adds perlite to improve texture as well as valuable micronutrients and organic matter.

I have spread Algefiber on my corn fields for the magnesium value, liming ability, and organic matter in the product. It spreads out very evenly and I am satisfied with the results. I plan on using more Algefiber in the future on my grass fields and corn ground to help increase the yields.
