Before we started Zero-Sort® Recycling we had about a 42% recycling rate, each year we’ve seen a dramatic increase in the tonnage.

Additionally, we used to have twelve different labels and receptacles sitting on the floor it got very confusing. Now we can just have one label that says recycling.

When we first signed up with Casella I did not have the schedule down and once forgot to put my cans out, one of your workers was so kind and thoughtful, and actually walked up my driveway and got the cans... AMAZING SERVICE, especially in this day and age. It really floored me and solidified my feeling that I made the correct choice with Casella! :)

Plastic, paper, metal, tin, glass, cardboard –even clean pizza boxes – can all go in one bin, and the contents of that bin then go into the Zero-Sort® Recycling dumpsters.

What that means is we’re greatly increasing the amount of recyclable materials that can be reused and turned into new products. It’s also going to greatly reduce the amount of solid waste that gets sent to the landfill.

At Ward Lumber, we are working hard to reduce our waste streams. Previously, used shrink wrap that was thrown in our trash is now being recycled in this test. We are looking forward to continued participation in this pilot program in partnership with Casella, and we hope our efforts aid in creating a positive, Eco-friendly future for the communities we serve.

Casella's technical service and involvement prior to the implementation of our Zero-Sort® Recycling process resulted in an extremely smooth and seamless transition. It's allowed Worcester State College the ability to expand its recycling program while reducing costs.
