Preparing for Dumpster Delivery

What to Do

Ensure that the drop-off area is clear

  • The driveway and surrounding area should be clear of cars and other items, including low-hanging branches or wires.

  • During winter, please ensure that all snow and ice is cleared away by salting or sanding the area before arrival.

Mark the delivery area

  • Use cones or tape so the driver can identify the ideal area in which to place the dumpster.

  • For a successful delivery, we need at least 3' of clearance around each side, 22' of height clearance, and 34' in a straight line from delivery location.

  • You can also send a photo of the location if you have any questions!

What Not to Do

  • Don’t allow the dumpster to block sidewalks, driveways, or fire hydrants.

  • Don’t leave dumpster doors open or block them with obstructions.

  • Don’t place the dumpster on soft ground or grass.

  • Don’t overfill the dumpster; materials should stay below the top edge.

  • Don’t move the dumpster once it has been placed.
