Collecting Color: Flag Recycling

Casella’s Flag Drop Box initiative began at our landfill in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, to address the challenge of improper flag disposal. The program inspired flag drop boxes at dozens of our transfer stations where citizens can place worn flags, and now, thousands are collected each year. Flags are retired with dignity with the help of Veterans2Veterans and other community groups.

Cultivating Community Through Pantry Partners

Casella’s NCES Landfill team supports Pantry Partners, an organization that brings fresh produce to the community and agricultural engagement to students. We donate greenhouse space at our facility, and We’re proud to support Pantry Partners’ efforts to build a more sustainable North Country.
