Your service day is Monday

Place your trash and recycling curbside on Sunday evening for Monday pick up.

Trash Service in Easttown Township

Make sure to put your trash & recycle carts curbside for collection the night before your pick up day.

  • Casella carts must be used.

  • Your carts should be at least 3 feet clear of any other objects including other carts, mailboxes, cars, street signs, etc.

  • Wheels on your cart should be toward the house so that all materials are emptied.

  • Be sure trash is bagged and lids are closed to prevent spills.

We cannot take:

  • Hazardous waste including radioactive, reactive, toxic, ignitable, corrosive, or acidic items.

  • E-waste including televisions, computers, etc.

  • C & D (Construction and Demolition Materials) including concrete, roofing, and other home remodeling debris. This also includes items like panes of glass from tables, windows, doors, etc.

Whitetail Disposal: A Casella Company is providing a 96 gallon trash cart and a 65 gallon recycle cart to all township residents.

Bulk Waste

Bulk Items are collected weekly, 1 item per week, and must be scheduled by phone or email prior to pickup.

Bulk is considered to be large items of refuse such as worn-out furniture, Freon-free appliances, and other household goods which can be handled safely by two people.

Mattresses and Toilets

For our employees’ safety:

  • Mattresses and box springs must be wrapped in plastic.

  • Toilets must be bagged.

Items Containing Freon

To dispose of items containing refrigerants residents must schedule pick up in advance and have the freon removed. The item must be marked with a certificate showing the freon has been removed.

This includes freezer, refrigerator, air conditioner, dehumidifier, water cooler.

  • All doors must be removed prior to pick up.

  • These items cannot be picked up with the regular truck.

Yard Waste and Leaves

Curbside Collection

Pruning, branches, weeds, leaves, and general yard and garden wastes.

  • Yard waste should be bundled in neat bundles not exceeding 4-6 feet in length, with branches limited to no greater than 4.5 inches in circumference.

  • Leaves should be in compostable bags.

Do I have to use Casella carts?

Yes, all residents of the borough must use the provided Casella carts for trash and recycle.

How do I bundle extra cardboard?

Breakdown and flatten all boxes.

  1. Stack boxes neatly.

  2. Secure with tape or twine.

  3. Bundles should be 4′ long x 1′ thick or less.

One (1) bundle per week can be put out next to the recycling cart.

What can I throw away?

Most regular household waste.

If you have anything unusual like construction material, paint cans, or appliances, please contact us first and we may be able to help you find a way to get rid of theses items.

What do I do with my old personal can?

We recommend you repurpose you personal can to be used for storage.

If you cannot repurpose your personal can, no problem. We can take it for you. To let us know you want it removed, it should be empty, clearly marked as “to be taken”, and placed upside down.
