Quarter-Century Composting Partners

In Maine, Augusta, Camden, and the Kennebec Sanitary Treatment District (KSTD) were among the first communities to partner with the Hawk Ridge Compost Facility when operations began in 1990. Twenty-five years later, we’re proud to continue providing sustainable recycling solutions for their biosolids.

Together, we’ve diverted tens of thousands of tons of biosolids and organic material from landfills—creating high-quality compost for local communities.
