Casella is excited to extend its partnership with the Town of Dayton and convert its collection to an automated system. This page will provide all necessary information residents will need to understand the changes to the Town’s curbside collection program.
Trash and recycling collection occurs weekly on your service day, Monday.
Here is the holiday schedule for the year after service begins:
- Labor Day: Monday, September 2, 2024: No delay, run as normal.
- Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 28, 2024: No delay, run as normal.
- Christmas: Wednesday, December 25, 2024: No delay, run as normal.
- New Years Day: Wednesday, January 1, 2025: No delay, run as normal.
- Memorial Day: Monday, May 26, 2025: No delay, run as normal.
Please take note of these key dates:

The week of July 15, 2024 – One trash and one recycling cart will be delivered to each residence eligible for curbside collection. (Residents do not need to be home to receive their carts.)

July 22, 2024 – Start of automated collection.
